                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO LIFT THE CONDITIONS ON A TRACT OF LAND
                   LOCATED AT TAMPA STREET LOCATED SOUTHWEST FROM
                   TREMONT STREET, NORTHEAST OF FRAZIER AVENUE,
                   SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at Tampa Street located
                southwest from Tremont Street, northeast of Frazier
                Avenue. 
               
                Tampa Street, a 40 foot wide right-of-way beginning
                on the southeast line of Tremont Street some 698.6
                feet northeast of the intersection of the southeast
                line of Tremont Street with the northeast line of
                Frazier Avenue, thence northeast some 90 feet with
                Tremont Street, thence southwest some 260 feet,
                thence northwest some 44 feet, thence northeast
                some 172.1 feet to the southeast line of Tremont
                Street, the point of beginning.  Said street
                separates lots 15 and 16, and part of lot 14, block
                7, Frazier's Addition No. 1, as shown by plat of
                record in plat book 11, page 42, R.O.h.C.  Tax Map
                No. 135E-K-1 and 35.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Approval by the City Engineer and City Traffic
                   Engineer of distance from south edge of pavement
                   to the building located south of the relocated
                   right-of-way.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
